Wow - what a journey...
The Way Out started when we (Vanessa and Jason) reached out last summer to reconnect, see what was going on and bounce creative ideas off each other. We came up with the concept of doing a short-form horror/thriller and continued to work through it over the winter. We filmed at the end of March 2023 and completed post-production over the summer.
The result? One heck-of-a story and a truly fun filming process, all while collaborating with old and new friends. We're truly grateful for everyone that came together to help us with this short film and bring it to life.
We're excited that The Way Out is in the final stages of reaching an audience and this is where we'll be keeping you up on the festival process, any private screenings, fun facts during filming and so much more!
The film might be finished, but there is still so much story to be told. Make sure and sign in to stay updated (cast & crew, you're already signed in) and tell your friends - films are meant to be seen and we can definitely use your help in spreading the word as we begin to open up showings.
